Why do you think cancer will get you?

Helloooo...you are ultra-quick, Sir! Well, my mother and her mother both died of breast cancer, so you know, I figure I'm just waiting for my turn.

Your writing is everything it is supposed to be. Don't compare it to anyone else's work. You express yourself however you know how, and the people who identify with it will come read it. As long as you have passion for it, it will grow on its own. Just don't stop typing.

That's my philosophising and advice giving. keep in mind that I am mediochre at best.

Your writing is nothing short of magnificent, and I am in awe. I'm one of those pathetic people who writes really long entries when I don't actually have anything much to say, but lots of interesting words and ideas in my head that I want to play with somehow. I'm always astonished when people leave me nice notes (or nasty ones, even) that suggest they enjoy my diary to some degree! Love, R xxx

ah-hah. now your question earlier today about my entry lengths makes sense to me - i hadn't seen this entry yet... ultimately, isn't that why we started our on-line diaries? to get those writing rhythms groovin' baby?

Medicine isn't what it use to be and you have warning, they didn't. I expect you to be here for a nice long time :-)
