if i might be allowed to expand on the smaller-story-within-an-entry, wasn't it actually a memo that she had written, and didn't he actually hand-write on the paper "how 'bout cleaning the motherfucker?" -- or is that just my secondary revision? because i have a memory of those words scribbled out. no? ah, well, either way, yes, he brings the funny.

You are correct. I showed him the memo and he did write it out. Now see, that's even funnier! Dammit! Why didn't I put THAT in the entry?

at our grocery store, we frequently see people leave their kids in the car, with the car running! i cant believe people do that kind of crap.

OK, I don't know the weather conditions when this Michael's thing happened. However, it is pretty well-known that the temperature inside a car increases pretty dramatically when it's hot out and the windows are rolled up. That same stunt in the summer could have killed the baby.

People like that piss me off to no end! Someone should lock her in a hot car for the day and see how she feels.

I'm glad you said something to her and called the police, a lot of people probably would have just walked away and felt slightly ashamed of themselves for a little while. At least this woman might think twice next time before she locks her kid in the car alone.
