I used to get quarters for using a spoon to dig out giant blackheads on my grandmother's back. No, I'm not kidding.

(1) that britney comment un-nerved me. (2) my great grandfather used to slip me whiskey-filled chocolates and tell me not to tell, but i didn't know what they were and the whiskey spilled all over my shirt when i bit into the chocolate. but i could have told because i was allowed small sips of liquor. by "whiskey" i might mean "brandy." (3) tomfoolery. hee.

I share your need to a be a writer. My grandfather used to keep candy in a dresser in his den, and he'd always take us aside and go, Now don't tell your father, see, but there's some candy in that dresser, see, and you can go get some. And my parents would catch our eyes and go, Yeah, yeah, go get your candy; it's fine. I miss him.
