i proof as i go along, but i use diaryland just for venting and musing. if i were actually organizing my thoughts into chapters, that would be one thing, but i figure that i'm not getting graded on any of this, so i just write what comes to mind. sometimes, it will suck hard. i'm ok with that.

I pretty much forget what I've written the moment I hit 'submit.' I just ramble and vent and don't even think about the suckage I must be leaving behind. Sometimes I'll read an old entry and have no recollection of writing it. Wait, I think I'm the freak here now. [sigh] As usual....

Hello! I don't think I've ever posted a comment at your diary (Hell, I haven't really been reading it for that long) but I found your diary through a comment you left at Purplebanana. :) But yeah, anyway, I don't really proofread and edit a million times or anything. My entries are just mostly rants and such so they're not really anything WORTH editing, ya know? Hehe. I do have the unnecessary habit of reading my entries as soon as I post it though. I don't even know why because 99% of the time, I never edit it or anything. Anyway, I'll end this rant now. :)

Hey! I must tell you what I believe is true when it comes to writing - if you think about it Diaryland is diaries - diaries are not meant to be edited and rewritten and what not...that whole aspect of writing just seems unnatural to me. Editing your entries makes it seem as though you don't really want people to know what you REALLY think...and that just seems pointless to me to be writing online where it's open to the public if you don't want people to know how you really feel, you know? That's just me though - but good entry, I like.

Darling, you know what they say about wombats, don't you? In this country, "Wombat" is a common nickname for a man who eats roots shoots and leaves. I can't imagine why he needs a paragraph, let alone an entire book. Love, R xxx

I usually jot down a note if something interesting happens, and then let the entry come together as it pleases. Mind you, there's one note that I wrote last week and promptly lost, so whilst I do remember what was on it, I keep forgetting to write about it.

My pocket PC is full of notes and things like yours. You'd think that if an idea was crap I would just delete it, but no, I keep it around in case it ever ceases to be crap and becomes something I can work with. It's nice to know that I'm not alone in this.

Me, I just write the crap right into my journal! Hey, it's just a journal. I'm hoping no one is surprised if they ever come along and find half-written names, and bizarre ideas, and things which I'd otherwise never admit to saying in there. The "hard copy" has everything from liquor store receipts to really crude (a la grade 2 quality) sketches shoved into it. At least online people don't have to wade through those (until I find away to get them in blogger :)).
